This sort of AI is patterned learning used by Google in its search engines and Amazon in its recommendation databases. It's cool, because it's responses are dependent upon how it interacts in the "world", learning as it goes to cater itself to how players react to it. This is how simple rules of "learning" can yield emergent behavior that appears to us as intelligence or even consciousness. Unfortunately, you are spending your time teaching them about POOP.
